MineX is an intense space shooter where the entire screen rotates, and scrolls, instead of just rotating, and moving the player’s spaceship on a static view port. The game features 7 different mine types, and a mine layer ship that has to be defeated at the end of each level. The game has 99 levels, and it is delivered in a reproduction cartridge shell that plugs directly into the Vectrex game console.

Description

After the abrupt ending of the Phobos program in 1989, the Planet Earth plunged into political chaos, and intellectual decline. Despite these challenges, research never stopped, and modest progress was made in space exploration by an international team. In 2020 the warp drive was invented, which enabled mankind to reach the outer borders of our solar system. However, all attempts to reach further out in cosmos were blocked by mysterious space objects. These objects did not only prevent the use of warp drive, they also posed a serious threat to anyone who attempted to cross these areas.
